Dedicated Retail Pop-Up Space is Coming to espy!
You may have heard rumours that a permanent retail pop-up space is coming to espy this Fall… Well, we’re happy to announce that these rumours are true! espy‘s passion for having an incredible variety of product for its clients means things are about to get better than ever. The concept of pop-up shopping is common in fashion hubs such as LA, Tokyo, New York and London where designers have the opportunity to showcase their brand within an already established brick and mortar destination. A new concept for Calgary, we cannot wait to share this experience with our clients both old and new.
What is a Pop-Up Shop?
Allow us to explain. The process starts when for a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 2-weeks one international, national, or local up-and-coming designer will display their collection at espy. They will set up within a dedicated section inside of espy essentially turning that piece of espy into a store within a store – a pop-up shop. With our newly expanded space, there will be plenty of room for brands to merchandise their pop-up collections as they see fit. Along with providing access to unique and interesting brands to the espy clientele, these pop-ups will allow the opportunity for clients to interact one-on-one with designers as they appear in-store.
Meet the Designer First-Hand
Having designers in-store allows them the opportunity to offer an authentic presentation of their brand as well as their story. Why they do what they do, along with how their line is different from others. Are they passionate about the planet? Do they want to make a difference in the fashion industry? What market are they targeting? How did they get to where they are today? You’ll be able to ask any questions that arise and often have the unique opportunity to custom-order one of a kind pieces from these brands that can’t be found anywhere else.
Rotating pop-ups every few weeks will give espy a certain freshness you can’t find anywhere else. Something new to discover will always be awaiting you. We already have commitments from some truly amazing brands so stay tuned! We’ll announce our pop-up schedule in the coming weeks.
