Lock it Forever
The espy Love-Lock Sculpture will be unveiled to the public on Valentine’s Day. 9th Avenue will become a place where love, promise, and commitment will be manifested forever. This February when you secure a love-lock to the heart-shaped art piece, not only will you be committing to something deeper, you’ll be helping raise funds for Alzheimer Society Calgary.
Love-locks can be picked up at espy for a minimum donation of $10.
The love-lock tradition spans continents. Cities all over the world have unofficial public spots where people can celebrate their love by hanging a love-lock. It’s time for Calgary to join the list. This February, you’ll be able to attach a love-lock to the sculpture as a symbolic gesture of unbreakable love. All proceeds from purchased locks will go directly to Alzheimer Society Calgary.
A Sneak Peek

Inspired by the similar structures found all over the world, espy has commissioned Striepe Millwright Ltd. to create this interactive art piece. Located in Inglewood, espy is proud to partner and support other local businesses in the community.
Starting to take shape!
Once complete, the sculpture will be affixed to casters so it can be wheeled out in front of the store. From February 14th to March 14th we encourage you to come down and affix a lock to the sculpture. After, the plan is to find a permanent home for the sculpture within the local community.
