#yycnyc Art Party

espy is holding its first annual #yycnyc art party in celebration of the reveal of espy’s collaborative art project between New York City street artists, Pepe and Eva, and local Calgary artist, Adrian Huysman.

Pepe and Eva of Studio Marmalade are Amsterdam-born artists and musicians living in NYC selling their whimsical art and jewellery filled with positive messages on the streets of Soho. Their mission is to spread love through their art and music.

Meet Pepe and Eva:

Adrian Huysman is a Calgary-born artist and teacher. In addition to teaching for the public school board, Adrian holds adult and children’s art classes at the North Mount Pleasant Art Center. This inspiring artist has a knack for showing just how accessible art can be.

The three artists are proud to reveal their #yycnyc collaboration at espy and excited to showcase some of their recent work. They will all have original pieces available for purchase ranging in price from $45 to $100, in keeping with espy’s affordable designer boutique!

The espy stylists will be on hand all night long to launch espy’s Spring 2012 collections. 2012 at espy is all about spreading the love! And that starts with loving yourself. The espy girls and Clark are itching to style spring and show you who you can be in 2012 with their help! Treats from Blowfish Sushi and wine on espy!

Drop in Adult Art Classes

Local Calgary artist, Adrian Huysman, will be hosting drop in art classes for adultsfrom 10:30am to 5pm on Friday, February 3. All supplies will be provided.Adrian wants to teach you about water colours! This is a great day to take a an hour off work to meet some new people, create your own original art work, and in the process give yourself a confidence boost.The project Adrian will be working on with you is all about compliments. Come prepared with some of the best compliments you’ve ever been given and be ready to transform those words into some positive affirmations! You will be turning someone’s beautiful words about you into beautiful art you can call your own.

espy is holding a Couples Shopping Night as part of #spreadloveyyc. Along with being artists, Pepe and Eva are also in a band called EVENi. They will be playing for all you lovely couples while you shop with your espy stylists, munch on appys and sip wine.For this night only, espy is offering an EXCLUSIVE deal for all the lovebirds!
